NORWICH — The Chenango County Area Agency on Aging welcomes all seniors to their annual Senior Day at the Chenango County Fair, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 7, at the Fairgrounds, located at 168 East Main Street in Norwich.
“Admission is free for age 60 plus and free meals will be provided to the first 150 older adults through 4-H Chapman Hall,” said Chenango County Area Agency on Aging Director Heather Collier. “All others will receive $1 off from Chapman Hall.”
Collier said there will be plenty of activities to enjoy with over 25 vendors providing information to the elderly population in the community.
“Also, there will be manicures by BOCES cosmetology students, face painting, raffle prizes, random giveaways, bingo games, crafts, live music, and so much more,” she said.
Collier mentioned the event will wrap up with Gilligan’s and Chobani providing an ice-cream and yogurt social at 4 p.m.
She said Senior Day at the fair is a great day to celebrate the older adults, provide a wealth of information in one place and offer community connections.
