SO. NEW BERLIN – Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards of Potter’s Tire remain in first place of the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club with just three weeks remaining. Potter’s Tire is currently 33-19, one game ahead of The Stadium and Kelly’s Flowers, who both have 32 wins. Rhino Graphics and Magro’s Pizzeria sit in the fourth and fifth spots, both with 29.5 wins with Rustic Ridge down to sixth, a half game out of fifth.

Anything can happen in the next few weeks before the summer season comes to a close.

Al Patten and Tim Lidell split the men’s leaderboards. Patten took the men’s high singles with a 73, ahead of Billy Schermerhorn’s 68 and Lidell’s 60. Lidell came away with the men’s high series with a 177 over Patten’s 169 as Lee Coon and John Edwards tied with a 162.

It was all Jess Sherwood for the women as she had the highest game of a 53 with a high series of a 123. Cindy Miller finished second in both with a high game of a 47 and a high series of a 114. Lisa Webster came in third for both leaderboards as well as she had a high game of a 37 with a high series of a 95.

Potter’s Tire took both the team high singles and high series as Williams Tire (Dave Robbins and Chris Davis) won the team handicap high singles and Fun Lovers (Tim Lidell and Mike Grant) earned the team victory in the handicap high series.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night until the end of August.
