The Garcia Project returns to the Free Summer Concert Series

NORWICH — The Garcia Project will be returning to the East Park stage in Norwich for the NBT Bank Free Summer Concert Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 7.


The Garcia Project describes themselves as "more than just a Jerry Garcia Band Tribute Band or Jerry Garcia Cover Band. They are known for performing recreations of classic Jerry Garcia Band set lists from 1976 to 1995.

"Using thoughtful arrangements and the proper instrumentation and feel for any and all given eras, The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and their fans through many years of musical bliss. It’s about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another," states the band's website, TheGarciaProject.com.


A fan favorite at the annual Summer Concert Series, The Garcia Project will be marking their sixth year in a row on the East Park stage.

The free weekly concerts tout more than just high-caliber performances. There will also be food trucks onsite, such as Ray Brother's BBQ, Nina's Pizzeria, Hubcap Munchies, Deja Brew, Gilligan's Ice Cream, and Lickety Split.
