UV/GMU golf drops to Unatego/Franklin

FRANKLIN – After starting the 2025 season on Monday, the Unadilla Valley/GMU golf team traveled to Ouleout Creek Golf Course for the first time on Wednesday, with Unatego/Franklin being a new program this year. With both teams being fairly new to the MAC, the match showed good competition and improvement. Unatego/Franklin came away with the 244-301 victory.

Carter Simonds led the Storm with a 54, which matched Unatego/Franklin’s top medalist. Declan Potter, Asher Hackett, and Evan Hill all followed with a 61 as Kyle Keuhn finished with a 64. Kenzi Marron picked up playing time as the sixth golfer with a 68*.

Unatego/Franklin’s scores ranged from a low 54 to a high 64.

UV/GMU (0-2) hosts a tough Sidney team on Friday at Mountain Top in Sherburne at 10 a.m.
