SNAP-Ed New York celebrates National Blueberry Popsicle Day, today

NORWICH — Chenango County 4-H Youth Development and SNAP-Ed New York will be celebrating National Blueberry Popsicle Day with a fun event, sure to turn everyone's lips blue.


Today, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at 99 North Broad Street, Norwich, SNAP-Ed New York will teach the importance of eating healthy, while participants make their own blueberry popsicles.


There will be plenty of practice involved from following the recipe, measuring ingredients, and learning how to make healthy food choices.

Recently, Cormell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Extended Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Educator Mary Close said there are many healthy choices when it comes to choosing the right foods for a healthier lifestyle.
