Butternut Valley Grange news and updates

GILBERTSVILLE - Butternut Valley Grange, Gilbertsville, will convene for its monthly meeting on Monday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 7 Bloom Street. Agenda items include announcement of community service projects for the immediate future.

At the August meeting, President, Lynne Porter, appointed the following committees for the new Grange year: Legislative: Roger Halbert, David Stoy, Barton Snedaker, Laura Palada, and Valerie Haynes; Family Activities: Sandy Stoy, Anna Ritchey, Lynne Porter, and Helen Ritchey; Community Service: Anna Ritchey, Glenn Foster, Anne Sebeck, Barbara Hill, Helen Ritchey, Roger Halbert, Calvin Wilcox and Vickie Gregory; Special Events: Cathy Galley, Anne Sebeck, and Barbara Rossanda; Membership Promotion: Marlene Brooks, Laura Palada, David Stoy, Glenn Foster and Barton Snedaker; Oversight Planning: Paula Evans, Penny Klingman, John Rossanda, and Sean Herbert. After a brief explanation and answering of questions, the members approved an operational budget for the coming Grange year, which started July 1.

A check was presented to Brena Wright, Executive Director o fAunt Mary’s House, Norwich, to support their work with unwed mothers with housing and supplies.
