MARATHON – The Greene Trojans field hockey team began its 2025 season on Tuesday at Marathon. The Trojans returned home with a 7-1 win under the direction of Matt Carlin, Julia Nuval, and Chrissy Conroe this season.

Greene’s Irelyn DeHaan led the team with two goals as Josie Dutcher scored one goal and had an assist.

Mia Yahner, Rachel Anderson, Allison James, and Maddy Wise each scored one goal as well while Ahraya Whitt helped out with two assists.

Mya Leggett-Carlin and Braelyn Blakeslee returned as the Trojans’ leading goalkeepers. Leggett-Carlin and Blakeslee each made one save on Marathon’s three shots on goal.

Greene (1-0) hosts Deposit-Hancock on Monday for their home opener at 6 p.m.
