ONEONTA – The 2025 Cross country season has begun as local Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville, UV, and Norwich had runners compete at the Dave Forbes invitational at Oneonta High School over the weekend. Full results can be found at ny.milesplit.com.

Boys:

BGAH took seventh as a full team with 199 team points with Owen Degan leading the local boys with an 11th place finish overall, but a ninth place finish in total scoring teams, in a time of 16:18.60. UV’s Jake Favinger finished 20th with a time of 16:42 as Norwich’s Nic Sutton came in 22nd with a time of 16:47.50.

The Bears’ Sean Fowler finished 39th (17:50.90) with teammate Aiden Quick in 54th place (18:32.40) and Jackari Garipoli in 62nd (18:50). Rowan Beasinger finished 68th with a time of 18:59.40 with Ethan Beardslee in 79th (19:45).

My’Kel George ran to a 88th place finish with a time of 20:33.40 as Freshman Mason Lans came in at 20:43.90 for 95th place. Connor Rowe finished 127th out of 128 male runners with a time of 24:57.50. UV’s Dominic Berthel came in 120th place with a time of 22:52.20.
