OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks golf team improved to 5-1 on Monday afternoon after defeating UV/GMU 205-270 at Bluestone. Oxford is currently tied with Sidney for second place of the MAC behind an unbeaten Greene.

Oxford’s Bennett Paden shot an all-around and a season-low of a 32 (-2) on the par-34 course. Junior Degan Endress also shot a season-low with a 36 (+2). Clayton Carlson followed with a 44 as Uri Tracy finished with a 46 and Blake Barrows with a 47. Eighth grader Kevin Northup shot a 60*.
