NY State Police, FBI, and ICAC joint operation results in three arrests for attempted rape
BROOME COUNTY - The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, working jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, arrested three men following separate investigations targeting individuals using social media to entice minors to engage in sexual acts.
The following arrests were made:
August 28, 2025 – State Police arrested Ronald E. Wenzinger, age 70, of Binghamton, NY, and charged him with Attempted Rape in the Second Degree (Class E Felony). Wenzinger, a Reverend at the United Methodist Church in Harpursville, NY, was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment. At this time, investigators have no indication that Wenzinger committed additional crimes against children.
August 28, 2025 – State Police arrested John J. Tremark, age 39, of Binghamton, NY, and charged him with Attempted Rape in the Second Degree (Class E Felony). He was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.
August 29, 2025 – State Police arrested Juan A. Bolanoszul, age 38, of Endicott, NY, and charged him with Attempted Rape in the Second Degree (Class E Felony). He was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.
