B-G girls come away with close win vs Greene
BAINBRIDGE –After winning the Jane Flannery tournament in Downsville, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ soccer team hosted Greene for the official MAC league season opener. Both teams battled but it was the Bobcats coming away with the close 4-1 victory.
Keelan Ammon led the Bobcats with a goal and an assist on Breanna Casey’s goal. Kamry Patten assisted Ammon’s goal while Jayslin Henderson scored an unassisted goal in the win. The Bobcats also got a goal off a misplay by the defense.
Hailey Butler scored the lone goal for the Trojans in the loss.
B-G’s Danica Park made three saves in goal while Greene’s Quinnlin Cavanaugh played an outstanding game against a powerful shooting B-G team and made 20 saves on the night.
B-G (5-0) heads to Sidney on September 16 at 7 p.m. Greene (2-1) heads to Dryden on Saturday at 1 p.m.
