SHERBURNE – Hard work paid off as the Unadilla Valley/GMU Storm golf team earned their first win of the 2025 season with a tight 243-246 victory against Unatego/Franklin at Mountain Top on Tuesday.

The Storm has been making improvements in every match and pulled out a win they were looking for.

Carter Simonds led the Storm with a 44 as teammate Declan Potter followed with a 45. Kyle Keuhn shot a 48 while Evan Hill and MacKenzie Marron both had 53s. Nick Church was the sixth golfer with a 61.*
