Balanced Attack leads UV Volleyball past Greene

GREENE –The Unadilla Valley Storm and the Greene Trojans volleyball teams met for a local matchup at the Greene High School gymnasium. UV earned the victory by sweeping all three sets with a close finish in the third set. Scores were 25-17 UV, 25-12 UV, and 25-19 UV. 

Shyla Roberts led the Storm with 11 digs, five kills, four aces, an assist, and a block. Madison Pierce added six assists, three digs, and two aces while Hunter Sherman had five kills, Layla Stevens with three aces, and Logan Cook with two aces in the win.

Greene’s Camryn Kirchbaum and Aliveya Hannon both led the team with 13 service points as Kirchbaum added 10 assists, an ace, and a kill. Hannon also finished with two kills and an ace while Marissa Kenyon picked up three service points and two digs. 

Ella Donnelly had five digs and Kayla Swift finished with three digs for the Trojans. 

UV (1-4) heads to Delhi this evening at 6:30 p.m. while Greene (0-2) will host Delhi on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
