Butternut Valley Arts & Crafts Center announces partnership with The Gatehouse Coffee Shop & Mercantile

MORRIS - The Gatehouse Coffee Shop & Mercantile of Morris has announced a new partnership with The Butternut Valley Arts & Crafts Center. This collaboration aims to provide expanded opportunities for community-based arts education and creative development.

As part of the partnership, BVACC will host art classes taught by Timothy Atticus, co-owner of The Gatehouse and a nationally recognized artist. In addition, the partnership will fund scholarships for creative projects that involve local youth, thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Otsego County.

The first program of the series will be a four-session Drawing Seminar led by Atticus. Classes will take place at BVACC on October 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This seminar has been one of the most sought-after offerings in the region. Early enrollment is strongly encouraged, as the class is expected to fill quickly.
