CHENANGO COUNTY — Approximately $30 million dollars could be awarded to Chenango County from the ConnectALL Deployment Program, if approved by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
The awards would bring broadband connectivity to every unserved and underserved location in New York State including Chenango County, creating an opportunity for all rural areas to connect with technology.
“I’m happy to hear Empire State Development, through the ConnectALL office, has invested in Chenango County broadband fiber optic,” said New York State Assemblyman Joe Angelino.
ConnectALL funding investment, especially in underserved rural areas, will help fill a technology void that is much needed,” Angelino said.
Shane Butler, Director of Chenango County Planning and Development said, “Years of advocacy, studies, and collaboration is finally paying off.”
