CHENANGO COUNTY - The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that this year’s annual Lieutenant Richard Cobb’s Shop with a Sheriff event will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Walmart in Norwich.

During this special holiday event, Sheriff’s Deputies will take approximately 30 children from across Chenango County shopping for gifts for themselves and their families. Each child will be provided with $200.00 to spend, helping to make the holiday season a little brighter for local families.

Children are selected for participation by officials from each school district in Chenango County.

This program is made possible through local businesses, citizens of Chenango County, and the generosity of our deputies—many of whom donate from their own pockets—with all contributions matched by the Chenango County Law Enforcement Association.

Our goal this year is to raise $200.00 per child, and we still need your help to make it happen!
