Chenango Arts Council offers Members’ Exhibit and Theater Workshop

NORWICH - Chenango Arts Council is offering two opportunities to participate in The Arts on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The Council’s 2025 Members’ Exhibit will open in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries from 1 to 4 p.m. and participants in Gregson Theater’s Antique Players Techniques Workshop will stage a matinee improv performance from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Council is looking for pieces for the 2025 Members’ Exhibit. Members may submit up to three pieces for display and offer them for sale if desired. Pieces are requested to be delivered by November 5 to 27 West Main St, Norwich, NY 13815. All mediums are welcome. Past exhibits have featured tapestry, sculpture, painting, photography and more.
The opening reception on Saturday, November 8 will feature live music by Reyna and The Rustics with special thanks to Preferred Mutual. Wine and refreshments will be on offer. This event is free and the exhibit will remain up until the end of January.
Also on Saturday, participants in Gregson Theater’s Antique Players Techniques Workshop will stage a matinee improv performance from 1 to 2 p.m. on the Martin W. Kappel Stage. This follows a two-day workshop where students learn mime, acting, improvisation and storytelling. Barbara Gregson will lead the course, which will take place November 5 and 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. Eric Porter will work with participants on improvised musical accompaniment. The class and performance are free to attend and participate in. Students may register at ChenangoArts.org.
