Two arrested following road rage stabbing incident in Broome County
BROOME COUNTY - On November 5 New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at Binghamton arrested Ashton M. Pratt, age 20, and Amy Lynn Mills, age 30, both of Glen Aubrey, NY, for: first and second degree assault, Class B and D felonies.
On November 4, just after 8:30 p.m., Troopers from SP Binghamton responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred on State Route 26 in the town of Nanticoke.
The investigation revealed that a road rage incident between two vehicles escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in a 40-year-old male victim being stabbed. The victim reported that an unknown male and female exited their vehicle. The female, later identified as Mills, is accused of grabbing the victim by his sweatshirt, while the male, identified as Pratt, is accused of stabbing the victim in the upper body.
The victim and his passenger were able to flee the area and later called 911. The victim was transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment; his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Through a collaborative effort among multiple State Police units, both suspects were located on November 5 and taken into custody without incident. Pratt and Mills were processed at SP Binghamton and transported to the Broome County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing.
