Holiday kick off at the Earlville Opera House

EARLVILLE — Earlville Opera House (EOH) has events and offerings for everyone. Come visit your local historic landmark for nostalgic holiday experiences.
The Earlville Opera House will celebrate its 28th annual Holiday Artisan Gift Shop, beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 22, located at 18 East Main Street in the village of Earlville.
This traditional holiday shopping destination features the best-selling artists of the past with the new and exciting work of first-time participants.
The Holiday Shop presents a well-rounded balance of regional artwork including photography, hand-woven items, glass, metal, wood, quilts, candles, soaps, ornaments, jewelry, sculpture and much more.
All are welcome to shop in this lovely Victorian holiday setting which has become a favorite holiday buying spot.
Browse the first floor of our 19th century building while viewing the wonderland of handmade treasures that are sure to entice and astound and priced to sell!
Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 12-4 p.m. The Shop will be open through December 19 for your last-minute gifting needs. Shop local and support the arts.
In addition, EOH's Holiday Open House is from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, December 6. Enjoy shopping the wares of the best artisans in our region at the annual Holiday Artisan Shop.
Bid on holiday raffle baskets and select artisan works in our "Silent Night” Auction; purchase festive baked goods from the annual bake sale; and see Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will drop in at 2:30 p.m. to judge the Village of Earlville’s gingerbread house contest.
At 3 p.m., Santa will be hearing the holiday wishes of children and Mrs. Claus will be handing out winter coloring books for kids along with candy canes.
This day is also Earlville’s Winter Celebration Day with activities for all throughout the village.
Also, Sherburne Music-Theater Society will be presenting a free holiday double feature of “A Visit from St. Nicholas” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., on the EOH Main Stage. Goodwill donations graciously accepted at the door.

Shows start at 7 p.m., tickets are $30/$27 for members (become a member), $10 for youth 17 and below, with college students half off with ID. Premiums apply to select rows. These shows will get anyone in a festive spirit.
