OXFORD — Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market is holding its last indoor market before the holidays on Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Oxford.
Giving the gift of locally-produced food and hand-made artisan crafts during the holidays is one way we can express our love and gratitude both for our family and friends, as well those who work with their hands to grow our food and make our homes more beautiful. By supporting our local farmers and artisans, we give forward and give back at the same time. What a delicious exchange that is in an agricultural community like our own.
You will find many offerings of local food for your holiday feasts and beautiful gifts for under the tree at this Saturday's last indoor Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market of the holiday season: Fresh seasonal veggies and mushrooms; locally-raised beef, pork, lamb and chicken; home-baked breads, muffins and cookies; eggs, cheese and butter; maple syrup, honey and jam; fresh balsam wreaths to hang on your doors and many handmade gifts for under the tree.
Every item brought to you by the hands of your neighbors. This is the magic brought to us by our area farmers’ markets.
Stop by the Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market this Saturday at the United Church of Oxford at 16 Fort Hill Park (enter on Merchant Street, across from the Middle School parking lot, where there is plenty of parking).
