Oxford girls’ finish third at M-E tournament

ENDWELL — The Oxford Blackhawks girls’ basketball team began its 2025-26 season competing in the Maine-Endwell’s first Bri Burghardt Memorial tournament over the weekend. The Blackhawks fell to M-E in the opening round and defeated Dryden in the consolation game to finish third.

On Friday, the Blackhawks fell 61-30 to the M-E Spartans. Raine Rovente led Oxford with nine points as Aubrey Rickard grabbed 10 rebounds.

In Saturday’s 37-28 win over Dryden, Oxford secured the victory with a great start before both teams slowed things down offensively.
