Schieferstein’s 36 helps OV boys defeat Cincy

CINCINNATUS— On Monday, the Otselic Valley Vikings boys’ basketball team traveled to take on the Cincinnatus Red Lions. OV scored 55 points or more in the second consecutive game with a 58-40 win.

The Vikings and Red Lions both played competitively, but the big highlight came in the second quarter as OV outscored their opponent 23-2. The Vikings led 36-12 at halftime and the lead would hold, even with Cincinnatus getting back on track in the second half.

Lukas Schieferstein went off for the Vikings as he led all scorers with 36 points, including going seven-for-10 at the free-throw line and hit five three-pointers. He also led the team with five steals.
