Greene boys come up short against GMU in overtime

GREENE—The Greene Trojans boys' basketball team hosted non-league but local opponent Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Tuesday night. Both teams battled with the game going into overtime.

GMU, who play in the Tri-Valley League, remain unbeaten in a high-scoring 65-63 affair.

Both teams played up tempo with each other, matching at 55 points at the end of regulation. GMU outscored Greene 10-8 in overtime with two points that secured the close victory.

Greene's Keegan Waltz led all scorers with 20 points, including making all eight free-throws he received. Greene went 8-for-10 overall at the line.
