Norwich boys stay unbeaten in OT win against Johnson City to win Woitach tournament

JOHNSON CITY —After defeating Athens, PA on Thursday, the Norwich Purple Tornado boys' basketball team returned to Johnson City High School for the Mark Woitach tournament championship game on Saturday.

Norwich was down 40-38 with under two minutes left and then both teams went back-and-forth trading shots. Johnson City went back up 48-47 with under a minute left and then Norwich's Carter Chrystie made the game-tying layup to tie the game with three seconds left.

Johnson City tried to pull the long shot at the buzzer but no good, sending the game into overtime.
