OV boys fall just short to Stockbridge Valley
SOUTH OTSELIC — After two close road wins, the Otselic Valley Vikings boys' basketball team hosted Stockbridge Valley on Monday in the 2025-26 home opener. The Vikings held a comfortable lead in the first half, but the game flipped sides, where OV fell short 58-55 in the CCL matchup.
OV outscored the Cougars 32-16 at the break, but the lead was not able to hold.
Stockbridge regrouped in the second half to change the outcome, outscoring the Vikings 42-23 in the second half to take the overall win.
OV's Lukas Schieferstein led the team with 20 points and had five rebounds.
Owen Davis added 15 points and had a team-high of three steals as Caleb Loomis finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and a team-high four assists.
Trisyn Lynch netted in four points, had seven rebounds and a team-high two blocks.
Tommy Kenyon also scored four points and seven rebounds, and had one block.
Logan Foster added two points and four rebounds in the loss.
OV (2-1) heads to McGraw on Thursday at 7 p.m.
