NEWARK VALLEY— The Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ basketball team traveled to Newark Valley to take on the Cardinals on Tuesday night. Norwich improved to 4-0 on the season in a close 43-37 victory.

Josey Ryan led the Purple Tornado with 15 points, including three three-pointers.

Emma Urgo added 11 points as Brooklyn Burke and Kerragan Reid both finished with seven points.

Norwich (4-0) heads to the Unadilla Valley Holiday tournament, featuring Greene, UV, and Sherburne-Earlville on Dec. 27 and 29.
