S-E boys fall in high-scoring affair vs Waterville

SHERBURNE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys’ basketball team hosted Waterville to kick off the new year. S-E fell 78-50 in a high-scoring league affair.

S-E was held to single-digit scoring in the first half as Waterville powered through to take a demanding 42-15 lead at halftime. S-E got back on track in the second half, but could not slow down the Eagles.

Steven Smith led the Timberwolves with 18 points, including four three’s. Cam Mann finished with nine points as Jordan Palmer added seven points.

Tomek Juisianiec and Bryce Bevilacqua both had four points while Camden Marino, Joey Tomsic, Nolan Sigman, and Kyler Buschor all contributed with two points each.

S-E (4-6) hosts Morrisville-Eaton on Thursday at 7 p.m.
