B-G girls fall to Delhi
DELHI — The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats girls’ basketball team suffered their first setback of the season on the road, falling 57-35 to Delhi in a pivotal MAC league matchup. After a dominant 12-0 start to the year, a shorthanded B-G squad—currently battling a wave of illness—couldn't keep pace with the Bulldogs.
The loss moves B-G to 5-1 in league play, placing them third behind unbeaten Delhi and Sidney (both 5-0). Expect a quick recovery from the Bobcats as they return to full strength.
B-G was held to single-digit scoring in three out of the four quarters, with the team’s best efforts in the third quarter against a tough Bulldogs defense.
Emma Kinter led the Bobcats with nine points and led the team with 10 rebounds. She also had two three-pointers and made both foul shots.
Kamry Patten added eight points as Jayslin Henderson and Marissa Mayo both finished with seven points.
Peyton Umbra and Tori Suda both had two points in the loss.
B-G (12-1) hosts Afton on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
