NORWICH – The anticipation is building as Norwich NY Little League, formerly known as NOX Little League, gears up for its inaugural baseball season under its new name, inviting any young player residing in Chenango County or attending school in Chenango County to join in the fun. The rebranding reflects an organizational change, as Oxford baseball/softball and Norwich softball are now separate organizations, allowing Norwich NY Little League to focus specifically on serving baseball players in the Norwich community.

This exciting league aims to offer children in grades 1-6 (some circumstances allow 7th graders) a chance to engage in America’s favorite pastime.

Registration for the season will open February 1, 2026 providing families the option to sign up online at norwichnylittleleague.com. The registration fee for this season is $50, which includes a full uniform for each player. In a commitment to inclusivity, league officials encourage families facing financial challenges to reach out, ensuring that no child misses the opportunity to participate due to cost.

To create balanced teams, evaluations will be required for all players, regardless of age or experience. Specific dates and times for these evaluations will be announced shortly.

An exciting development for this season is our partnership with a league from the Southern Tier, allowing Norwich players to compete against teams from outside the area. Families can look forward to a mix of travel and home games (up to 20 total), while practices will continue to be held in Norwich.

The league is also seeking dedicated coaches to help guide and mentor young players throughout the season. Not interested in coaching?
