UV bowl rolls on with sweep at W/D

WALTON— The Unadilla Valley Storm bowling teams returned home victorious after Tuesday’s road win against Walton/Downsville. Both the Storm boys and girls swept the league matchup.

The Storm girls defeated Walton/Downsville 1776-1070.

Amelia Beckwith led UV with a 496 series with a 183 in her second game.

Layla Stevens followed with a 406 series as the rest of the team split time on the lanes.

Natalie Smith rolled two 159 games to finish with a 318 series as Kylie Menard had a 152 and a 114 to finish with a 266 series.

Sherri Conklin added a 97 and a 92 to have a 189 series as Hunter Sherman bowled a 122, Alexandria Fuller with a 74 and Zoe James with a 64.

The Storm boys swept Walton/Downsville and won with a total score of 2363-1939.

Teagin Eccleston led UV with a 674 series, coming off his high of 769 series on Friday. Teagin rolled a 254 in his first game and a 236 in the second game.

Landin Eccleston followed with a 480 series with a 204 in his final game.

Brayden Prentice added a 457 series with a 166 and a 152.

Hunter Miller, Caleb James, Liam Hoag, and Gavyn Bass all split time with Miller rolling two games of a 136 and a 134 to finish with a 270 series.

James bowled a 155 and a 103 to have a 258 series as Hoag and Bass both rolled 112’s.

UV heads to Bainbridge-Guilford on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. before the MAC Championships on February 17.
