OV girls drop to McGraw
SOUTH OTSELIC— The Otselic Valley Vikings girls’ basketball team hosted McGraw on Wednesday night, falling 60-40.
The Lady Vikings showed significant improvement after a quiet first quarter, finding their stride to post 29 of their 40 points during the second and third quarters.
While the early deficit and a tough fourth quarter proved difficult to overcome, the team's ability to pick up the pace mid-game kept the pressure on McGraw.
Miranda Hackett led the Vikings with 20 points with two three’s and nine rebounds.
Mackenzie Reandeau added eight points, going four-for-six at the free-throw line and had a team-high 10 rebounds.
Emma Rooker finished with seven points with three rebounds and three steals.
Skyler Graham had three points, four assists, and three steals while Lilly Palmer added a bucket and four rebounds.
Bella Sayles had three rebounds and two steals as Abby White added four rebounds and Baleigh Dubois with a rebound in the loss.
OV (1-11) heads to Lyme on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
