WAVERLY— The Section IV Division II Qualifier A Wrestling event was held at Waverly High School on Saturday, featuring Unatego-UV, Norwich, and BGAH. The hosting school took home the qualifier title with 226.5 points.

Unatego-Unadilla Valley took fifth at the qualifiers with three class champions; Yanni Drapaniotis, Sava Gonopolskiy, and Gavin Nordberg. Nolan Boyles took second in the 215 pound weight class as Brogan LeFever came in third at 126 pounds.

Norwich finished sixth at the Sectional qualifiers with 115 points. Maverick Beckwith became a four-time Class Champion after winning the 150 pound weight class. Eighth grader Koltyn Collins came in third place at 103 pounds and Bryce Wellington finished fourth at 144.

BGAH finished 10th out of 13 teams with 45.5 points. Silas Greenman and Colton Ryan both earned fourth place in their respective weight classes.

Nolan Boyles: second place at 215 pounds with a 1-1 record; defeated OFA’s Trevor Monell in a 2:14 pin.

Yanni Drapaniotis: won the 190 pound weight class with a 2-0 record; two quick :31 and :55 second pins.

Brogan LeFever: third at 126 pounds with a 2-1 record; defeated Norwich’s Jadyn Carpenter in a 2:12 pin.

Bryden Sheldon: 1-1 at 118 pounds; pinned BGAH’s Gabe Cutting in 2:10.

Maverick Beckwith: won the 150 pound weight class (4x Class Champion); 3-0 with all pins, including a :32 pin against Waverley’s Nico Rae.

Jadyn Carpenter: 3-1 at 126 pounds; pinned BGAH’s Frank Parsons in 2:14.

Koltyn Collins: third at 103 pounds with a 2-1 record with a 1:55 pin and a 11-7 win by decision.

Kolden Downey: 1-2 at 150 pounds; won against OFA’s Jayce Saulsbury in a 4:18 pin.

Noah Eddy: 1-1 at 138 pounds; won against BGAH’s Glen Miller III in a 7-4 decision.
