S-E boys fall to Waterville

WATERVILLE— The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys’ basketball team traveled to take on Waterville on Friday night. S-E fell to their league divisional opponent 70-53.

Both teams were off to a strong start, but the Eagles turned up their intensity on defense before the break to hold S-E to seven quarter points. S-E was down 29-21 at the break, hoping to turn things around in the second half. However, Waterville continued to stay up tempo throughout the rest of the game, even as S-E tried to keep up.

Jordan Palmer led S-E with 20 points as Cam Mann and Nolan Sigman both chipped in nine points.

Bryce Bevilacqua added two three’s for six points as Tomek Jusianiec hit a three and finished with four points overall. Steven Smith hit a three and Kyler Buschor added a bucket in the loss.

S-E (6-12) heads to Morrisville-Eaton on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
