ONEONTA— The Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ basketball team hit the road on Tuesday to face their rivals, the Oneonta Yellowjackets. Both Norwich JV and Varsity teams picked up victories with JV securing the JV STAC East title.

The Varsity girls came out on top with a 51-39 victory.

Emma Urgo led the Purple Tornado with 18 points as Brooklyn Burke added 12 points. Josey Ryan finished with 11 points as Brynley Ryan dropped in five points.

Norwich (13-2) concludes its 2025-26 regular season at Ithaca on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. before awaiting Sectionals or any additional games added to the schedule.
