BINGHAMTON— The 2025-26 Section IV, Division II Wrestling championships took place over the weekend at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton. The event featured local Unatego-UV, Oxford-Greene, Norwich, and BGAH.

Unatego-Unadilla Valley led all local Section IV teams with a fourth place finish with 112.5 points. The Spartans’ Yanni Drapaniotis and Gavin Nordberg became sectional champions in their respective weight classes. Nolan Boyles and Sava Gonopolskiy both took second and Brogan LeFever came in fifth place at 126 pounds.

Oxford-Greene came in 10th place with 74 points. Kade Mustin took second at 132 pounds with his only loss to Sectional Champion Gavin Nordberg. Troy Braman came in third at 157 pounds as Donte Wrench took third at 285 pounds.

Norwich finished 17th with 46.5 points. Maverick Beckwith became a four-time Sectional Champion after winning the 150 pound weight class. Eighth grader Koltyn Collins and Bryce Wellington both took sixth in their respective weight classes.

Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville came in 20th out of 25 teams with 23.5 points. Silas Greenman and Colton Ryan both finished sixth.

Unatego-UV:

Jaron Boyles: 0-2 at 144 pounds.

Nolan Boyles: 2-1 with a second place finish at 215 pounds. One 3:37 pin and a 6-3 decision.

Yanni Drapaniotis: Sectional Champion at 190 pounds, 3-0, including a :49 pin against Oxford-Greene’s Tallan Davis.

Sava Gonopolskiy: second at 103 pounds with a 2-1 record. A 18-1 tech fall and a 4:33 pin.

Tyler Groff: 0-2 at 110 pounds.

Brogan LeFever: fifth at 126 pounds with a 4-2 record; three pins and a 17-0 tech fall.

Gavin Nordberg: Sectional Champion at 132 pounds with a 3-0 record, including a 15-4 major decision against Oxford-Greene’s Kade Mustin in the finals.

Bryden Sheldon: 1-2 at 118 pounds. Won in a 10-6 decision against Whitney Point’s Joseph Card.

O-G:

Troy Braman: third at 157 pounds with a 5-1 record. Lost to Oneonta’s Alan Little in a 5:11 pin. Won three pins and two close decisions.

Tallan Davis: 2-2 at 190 pounds with two quick :36 and 1:35 pins.

Urijah Dibble: 1-2 at 285 pounds, defeated SVEC’s Jak Smith in a 3:01 pin.

David Dunckel: 0-2 at 215 pounds.

Colton Hurlburt: 0-2 at 110 pounds.

Collin Morlando: 0-2 at 165 pounds.

Kade Mustin: second at 132 pounds, lost to Unatego-UV’s Gavin Nordberg in a 15-4 major decision.

Donte Wrench: third at 285 pounds at 4-1 with four pins (:38, :46, 2:29, 2:38) and lost to Waverley’s Troy Beeman in a 17-1 tech fall.

NHS:

Matthew Allen: 0-2 at 175 pounds

Maverick Beckwith: 4x Sectional Champion at 150 pounds with a 3-0 record. Two pins and a 11-3 major decision.

Jadyn Carpenter: 0-2 at 126 pounds.

Koltyn Collins: sixth at 103 pounds with a record of 2-3. A :32 pin and a 2:31 pin.

Noah Eddy: 0-2 at 138 pounds.

Collin Howe: 0-2 at 190 pounds.

Noah Shack: 0-2 at 215 pounds.

Bryce Wellington: sixth at 144 pounds with a 3-3 record; a 7-3 decision, a 17-2 tech fall, and a 5:27 pin.

BGAH:

Silas Greenman: sixth at 157 pounds with a 2-3 record; two 3:58 and 4:59 pins.

Andreus Juliussen: 1-2 at 165 pounds; only win in a 1:29 pin against Tioga’s Aiden Black.

Colton Ryan: sixth at 118 pounds; 3-3 with a 12-0 major decision, a 16-0 win by tech fall, and a 1:54 pin.
