ENDICOTT— After an exciting finish at the Section IV, Class A championship, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls' basketball team advanced to the sub-regional round to take on Section V's Honeoye Falls-Lima at Union-Endicott High School. A full student section and crowd from Norwich came out in support.

Unfortunately, Norwich fell 43-34 to the Cougars.

Norwich, who was once down 11 at halftime, looked like a completely different team in the second half, after seeing their unfamiliar opponent get off to a strong start in three-point shooting.

Norwich was held to one basket in the second quarter and turned things around after halftime, but attempted more shots than they finished against a tough defense that out-rebounded as well.
