S-E flag football open second official season at home vs Oneida
SHERBURNE— The Sherburne-Earlville Lady Timberwolves flag football team opened its second season as a program at home on Thursday night against the defending Class C Section Champion Oneida Express.
S-E, despite a 34-19 loss, racked up good yardage offensively to compete with a fierce opponent.
S-E scored all its points in the final quarter with a 69 yard rushing touchdown for Olivia Parker, who then had an 11 yard run and the pass to Abbie Green for the extra point was good.
S-E also had a trick play in their final drive with Bella Whorrall throwing a seven-yard pass to Green, who then lateraled it to Parker for a 55-yard touchdown.
The Lady Timberwolves finished with 325 yards of offense, accounting for 194 passing yards.
Emma Webb completed 15 passes for 139 yards with Green catching nine passes for 69 yards and Parker with two receptions for 88 yards.
Parker finished with 97 rushing yards while Kayden Edwards had three carries for 16 yards.
Green led the way defensively with seven flag pulls and Parker, Sadie Davis, and Kadyn Babcock each had five pulls.
S-E (0-1) hosts OnTech Charter on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to continue a four-game home stand.
