Evabelle Snow, 95, of McDonough, NY, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1930 in Maine, NY, the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Tibbetts) Whittaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Snow, her parents Richard and Ruth Whittaker, brother Gerald Whittaker, sisters-in-law Pat and Sylvia Whittaker, son-in-law Joseph Hill, and granddaughter Lisa Fuller.
She is survived by her brother Harry Whittaker; sister Esther Whittaker; her children: Robert Snow, Evelyn Hill, and Bertha (Walter) Kasmarcik; grandchildren: John Snow, Ronna Hill, Syreeta Toomer, Javon Hill, Joe (Mary) Hill, Matt (Tiffany) Kasmarcik, Pete (Patti) Kasmarcik, Steve Kasmarcik, Andy (Philicia) Kasmarcik, Phil (Kelly) Kasmarcik, Amanda (Luke) Gladney; as well as 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She loved her flowers and being outside in the garden, but her family and her faith were the most important to her. She was an active member of the Norwich congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She read her Bible daily and throughout her life looked for opportunities to share what she had learned with others.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5250 State Hwy. 12, Norwich, NY.
