Downtown Norwich welcomes Coffee Connection

NORWICH - The community had the chance to formally welcome The Coffee Connection to the area Friday, with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.
The cafe, which officially opened May 8, also held an open mic show with Emily Vogel, and owners Kristen Behuniak and Geri Barnes hope their success will continue.
“This is a dream come true for me,” Behuniak said of running the cafe. “I’m standing here thinking, ‘Hey, I’m working right now.’ And I’m having a great time. It’s great.”
Chamber of Commerce President Dave Hall said the opening of the Coffee Connection is exactly what the city needed.
“There is always that place where everyone meets up, and this can be that place,” he said.
And although David C. Law is the Town of Norwich supervisor, he said he is also glad to welcome the new business to the city.
“I may be from the town, but I’m really from Norwich,” he said. “And I am very supportive of any new business in the city.”
The co-owners say they are glad to have everyone’s support, and hope to continue seeing and meeting new people.
Behuniak also said that their lunch menu will be available beginning today, so anyone interested in a new place to eat should stop by.
