Hands Inn duo back in jail
NORWICH – Part of the sentence received by the former operators of the Hand’s Inn restaurant was the condition that they leave the area. The duo got to visit Norwich again Friday, as they were called to Chenango County Court to answer a charge that they violated their probation.
Kevin Aguilar and Jean Rabbitt were remanded without bail by County Judge W. Howard Sullivan after the defendants failed to explain missed restitution payments that the judge ordered late last year as part of their sentence. The couple was to make $500-a-month installments to different victims in a 2003 credit card scheme they operated from their former city limits restaurant. Until allegedly failing to make good on the payments, the two had avoided jail time as part of their disposition.
