Wal-Mart cuts ribbon on Supercenter
NORWICH – After being postponed due to serious flooding Wednesday, Wal-Mart finally had its grand opening this morning.
The Supercenter in the Town of Norwich had its ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration today, and is now ready to show the public the store which has doubled in size.
Over 2,500 applications were filled, and 300 new employees were added to the already 150. Store manager Constance Giordano said she is excited about the 195, 248 square foot store, which will now be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and offer a full line of groceries, organic foods, Hispanic and kosher foods, bakery goods, deli foods, frozen foods, meat and dairy products, fresh produce, a vision center, Regal Nails salon, Smart Style hair salon, Subway restaurant, beer and wine sales, and Wal-Mart Connect Center.
