NORWICH – Fire destroyed a large garage and two vehicles at the Edwards home on 62 W. Main St. early this morning. Officials with the Norwich City Fire Department said the smoke was visible from the station when the call came in at around 5:42 a.m., and within minutes the blaze had already consumed the structure.

“It had a pretty good start on us to begin with,” said Assistant Fire Chief Jan Papelino. “We went to work on it, and we had it knocked down pretty quick.”
