NEW BERLIN – Katie Seiler answered UV’s tying goal with just 1:09 remaining in regulation to give Oxford its second win over the Storm this season, and the fourth victory is a new season-best for the Blackhawks.
Amanda Brown had her second hat trick this season for the Blackhawks scoring twice in the first half in a 2-2 contest.
Jenn Convis had two tallies for the Storm, and Amanda Peek drew UV even scoring with 2:11 left in the second half.
Kelly Whitehill also scored a goal for Oxford.

The Trojans, playing under the lights at Sidney, defeated one of the Midstate Athletic Conference’s top teams for the second time this season.
Like the first meeting with the Warriors, the Trojans were outshot, but made efficient used of those attempts. Shelby Averett won a one-on-one battle driving past the defensive sweeper, and hammering in a shot from the right side into the far post. Jessie Bates added a tally later in the first half getting a cross from April Small.
“I would call this an upset; they have been playing extremely well of late,” said Greene coach Randy Smith of the win. “Our kids just seem to get excited playing Sidney. I told them they’re playing Sidney again on Thursday, only they’ll be wearing Unadilla Valley uniforms.”

Megan Ives scored in the second half for B-G (8-1-1, 10-2-2). “Walton is not a team you can run over, and they’re always dangerous,” said B-G coach George Williams. “They have a small field with not much grass; it’s just a tough place to play. We’re glad to get out of there with a win.”

Kelly McCarthy scored the only goal of the first half getting a pass from Sara Szollosy at the 15:13 mark. Dani Conway tallied in the second half for insurance. “It was a good matchup for both teams – Franklin is in the same situation as us with a lot of young players,” said G-MU coach Tim Diters. “Both teams were well-matched.”
G-MU plays Franklin Thursday at Oneonta.

GREENE – Freshman Christine Conroe gave evidence of a bright future at Greene finishing with her first career hat trick in a shutout of Owego Tuesday.
“She just had a great game for us,” said Greene coach Sue Carlin Conroe, whose club was coming off an overtime loss to Maine-Endwell last weekend. “The last couple of years we have struggled in the second half of the season, but we’re able to put 60 minutes of good play together this year.”
Megan Boeltz had three assists and Amanda Barton added a goal for Greene (7-2), who play at Windsor Thursday.

Kelly McCarthy, Courtney Bentley, Lizzy Buhl, and Rachel Paukette teamed for an opening win in the 200 medley relay for Greene. It was a first-time pairing for the quartet with Buhl the only established first-place swimmer in the bunch. “It’s nice, because of the depth we have, to give our younger swimemrs a chance to shine,” said Greene coach. “When they’ve gotten the opportunity, they have taken full advantage.”
Helen Zaengle, Samantha Clink, and Buhl all had two individual wins for the Trojans (8-0), who swim at A/B-G/H Friday.

Savanna Keator set new lows in winning the 50 free (25.97) and 100 free (56.59), Makenzie Williams chopped 15 seconds off her best time to win the 500 free (6:05.87), and the sister combination of Gabby Chwazik-Gee and Hayley Chwazik-Gee finished one-two in the 100 breaststroke with new best times. Gabby won in 1:15.13. “I think the girls knew they had a chance to win the meet, so they went after it in the races,” said Norwich coach Amanda Downey.
