Open houses planned for Fire Prevention Week

CHENANGO – Next week is National Fire Prevention Week and many of the Chenango County’s fire departments will be sponsoring public events, including open houses, dinners and activities at local schools.
• Bainbridge: Open house and seminar, 5:30 p.m., Oct. 13.
• Coventry: Pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., Oct. 8.
• Earlville: Open house at 7 p.m., Oct. 18.
• Greene: Open house from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 11. Pancake breakfast Oct. 14.
• Guilford: Activities at the Bainbridge-Guilford Elementary School Oct. 11.
• McDonough: Open house from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 9.
• New Berlin: Guest speaker in the afternoon and an open house in the evening of Oct. 9.
• Norwich: Open house at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 12.
• Oxford: Open house from 7 to 9 p.m., Oct. 11.
• Pharsalia: Spaghetti dinner, Oct. 14.
• Sherburne: Open house, Oct. 11.
• Smithville: Pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., Oct. 8.
