St. Bart's continues spaghetti supper tradition
NORWICH – St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church will resurrect a time-honored tradition in the Norwich community starting tonight – the spaghetti supper. According to committee member Mary Coe, this was once an annual event, but it has not occurred in the last few years.
A dozen or more parishioners busied themselves in the parish center kitchen earlier this week. They were hard at work making meatballs for the spaghetti dinner. They made over 1,600 meatballs on Tuesday, and they were far from done.
The dinner will be held at 4:30 and 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the St. Bart’s parish center on East Main Street. The cost of admission is $7 for adults over 12, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, and kids under five eat for free.
