CONKLIN – Susquehanna Valley started and ended Greene’s season with losses.
The Sabers eliminated the Trojans from the Class B playoffs Wednesday getting goals from four different players. In August, SV beat Greene, 1-0.
“We didn’t generate a lot of offense,” said Greene coach Randy Smith, who said the absence of defensive starter Tara Bub was a factor on the field. “It was a bit of a factor, but Sus Valley was ready to play, and they were a little more tested (competition-wise) this season.”
Renee Kelvill had the opening goal with 12 minutes left in the first half, and Mary Rood tallied in the final final of the opening period for the two-goal edge.
Greene finishes 11-8.
