Oxford auto dealer makes move to Norwich
NORWICH – Campbell Auto Sales is moving from its current location on Rt. 35 in Oxford, just above Menard’s Garage, to a new location in Norwich. The new location is in the Wal-Mart plaza, just north of the supercenter and behind the car wash. “Campbell Auto Sales is on the move,” said owner Gordon P. Campbell.
Campbell began his business a year and a half ago, but has over 25 years of experience working for other dealerships in the Norwich and Southern Tier area, and his associate Vic Cirello has nearly 29 years of experience. His current location in Oxford has been successful, but Campbell believed that with the latest revival of business in the Norwich area, it was time to move. “Campbell wants to be where it’s happening,” he said.
Norwich has seen a jump in new business in the past few months, such as the opening of Lowe’s, the French bakery La Maison Blanche, B&D’s new store and Wal-Mart extending its hours, opening 24 hours a day.
The grand opening is expected by the first of the year, and Campbell says he will more than triple the selection he currently has, making the total number of vehicles available well over 30.
“We are very excited about the move and making things very convenient for our customers,” said Campbell. Campbell says he intends to add an additional sale representative to help with the expected increase in business. A new building is also to be constructed at the site.
Campbell believes value is key to success saying, “This is a value story, all our vehicles are under $10,000. Think deal, think Campbell.”
