Habitat gears up for carnation sale

OXFORD – The 14th annual Chenango County Habitat for Humanity’s Red Carnation Sale is going on now through January 21st. The sale raises funds to support Chenango County Habitat’s current project, a house being built at 7 Adams Street in Norwich, and future projects. If you don’t have a volunteer in your area, orders for red carnations can be taken by Audrey Johnson at 843-6249 or Joyce Ardron at 843-9747 in Oxford.

Red carnation prices have not increased over the years- they’re still $1.50/single; $7/half dozen; and $12/dozen. Distributions and pick-ups will be on Saturday, Feb. 10 and Monday, Feb. 12 – just in time for Valentine’s Day bouquets for sweethearts.
