GREENE – Greene was a runaway winner at the Midstate Athletic Conference team championships easily outdistancing Cooperstown by 133.5 points Friday night.

Johnson City 94, Norwich 92
JOHNSON CITY – In a tightly contested matchup, Friday, Johnson City narrowly edged the Tornado Friday despite the visiting Purple winning seven of 13 events.
“A two-point meet in swimming is the same as a two-point basketball game,” said Norwich coach Rick Marchant. “One made or missed basket is the difference, and for us, any event that we place one notch higher is the difference. It’s only destructive to dwell on that. We swam a good meet against a good team, and we performed well as a team.”
Norwich won a pair of relays and had individual wins from Ryan Marchant, Dan Wenzel, Evan Wendt, Cole Adams, and Kane Streichert.
Norwich hosts S-E Tuesday on senior recognition night.
