Dave Ruch performs for New Berlin Art Forum concert
NEW BERLIN – The New Berlin Art Forum will be presenting folk artist Dave Ruch 7 p.m., Feb. 3 at the Terrace Heights Community Center across from the Chase Nursing Home in New Berlin. Ruch will be singing folk songs the old unaccompanied style or backing himself up with his five string banjo, guitar, mandolin, lap dulcimer, washtub bass or jaw harp. Ruch combines songs with stories as well as humors to captivate his audiences.
Ruch’s “Traditional Songs of New York State” is said by the forum to be a lively presentation of songs and ditties from all corners of the state and represent the life of new yorkers of the past. The songs are also described as important pieces of heritage for the state collected through extensive research and interpreted for all to enjoy.
